- Qualifications / Qualités requises
- Enrolled in a College or university arts or recreation related studies program and/or practicing in a one of the following disciplines: marketing and communications, recreation, music, dance, theatre, visual arts, literary arts, media arts, or arts education.
Minimum 2 years practicing and/or teaching experience in related discipline, and have the technical skills and training required to safely use specialized equipment i.e. mascot costume, social media outreach and multi media tools.
Project management skills/experience considered an asset.
Completion of health and safety training required by legislation and by the Corporation of the City of Ottawa

- This role will be focused on community engagement/outreach and will involve promoting programs within Rec and Culture as the Department mascot "Dexter".
In addition, the Arts Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration, scheduling, development, marketing, and/or promotion and advertising and implementation of programs, exhibits, performances and events in the areas of recreation, theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, and/or media arts.
