Shifts
- Three 6 1/2 hour shifts during the week of February 26 through March 1 - meet with EIPO for program instruction, design, and preparation;
PLUS
- Nine shifts - 2 hours per program delivery as follows:
1. Monday, March 11 – Stittsville, 10:30AM, Carp 2PM
2. Tuesday, March 12 – Nepean Centrepointe 10:30AM, Carlingwood 2PM
3. Wednesday, March 13 – Hazeldean 10:30AM, Beaverbrook 2PM
4. Thursday, March 14 – Orleans 10:30AM, Cumberland 2PM
5. Friday, March 15 – St Laurent 2PM

Qualifications / Qualités requises
Education:
Minimum 2 years of enrollment in University or College in History, Social Sciences, Museum Studies, Education or related discipline.
Experience:
2 years of interpretive or educational experience in a museum environment, or 2 years of experience teaching in a school environment, and, 1 year of experience in historical research and project writing, or 1 year of experience in a heritage trade.
Knowledge:
- Historical facts and information about the city of Ottawa
- Ottawa's historical sites, museums, archives and other heritage institutions
- Educational and interpretive programming techniques
- Practical knowledge of heritage trade(s)
- Theories and practices of teaching
- Ontario School curriculum
- Proper museological techniques for the handling and display of artifacts
- Current trends in museum educational programs
- Client service needs
- Project management
- MS Office software including MS Word and MS Excel.
- General visitor centre procedures and techniques
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of
workers.
