- Responsibilities of the Outdoor Rink Attendants include:
1. Verifying skaters have reservations (skaters will have to reserve spaces online ahead of time and provide proof the rink attendant)
2. Maintaining maximum number of participants on ice
3. Making sure skaters are adhering to Ottawa Public Health Guidelines. Everyone should be wearing a mask when within 50 feet of the rink except when actively skating (it is still highly recommended). Skaters must also maintain physical distancing with anyone outside their household
4. Staff will assist with First Aid (if required) and will have a PPE kit with them in the event they have to assist someone
5. Staff are in place to educate the public on public health measures (not police them), bylaw may be checking in and providing support periodically throughout the shifts
Staff will have access to a heated trailer with washroom facilities.
