- Education:
Therapeutic Recreation degree/Diploma.
Experience:
Minimum Range of Year: 3 to 5 years
Type: Therapeutic Recreation Adult Day Program/ABI /Special Needs/Rehab/Community/Inclusive
Recreation
Certificate & Licenses:
- Valid Standard First Aid / CPR "C" Certification
- Valid CPI Certification
- AODA Customer Service/IASR Training
- Current Automated External Defibrillator (A.E.D.) Operator Certificate
Knowledge:
- Legislation protecting rights of special needs client, populations
- Client care
- Health and Safety legislation, policies and procedures
- City of Ottawa and Parks & Recreation Branch Policies and Procedures
- Professional standards of practice, legislative requirements and Policy/Procedures
Competencies/Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to lead small groups
- Leadership skills
- Well developed understanding of TR tools
- Able to design rehab and adapted recreation programming
