- Qualifications / Qualités requises
- We are looking for a Program Specialist, Arts to assist the Program Coordinator of Community Arts and Social Engagement with the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of the I Love to Dance program by providing day-to-day program support.
Tasks include:
- Drafting communications to instructors and community partners
- Responding to public inquiries
- Assisting with new instructor interviews
- Drafting instructor recruitment documents
- Assisting with new and existing instructor training
- Attending and assisting with partner and instructor meetings
- Assisting with program site visits
- Coordinating instructor schedules, timetables, timelines, and logistics for programs
- Liaising with the public or media to promote the I Love to Dance program
- Collecting and compiling program data
- Assisting with logistics coordination and presentation of winter session event
- Liaising with performing artists to determine needs related to space or performance
- Assisting with program documentation and evaluation
- Assisting with program reporting and funding applications
- Assisting with development of I Love to Team resources
Competencies and skills:
- Completion of college or university education in arts-related studies and/or practicing in one of the following disciplines: music, dance, theatre, visual arts, literary arts, or arts education
- Excellent knowledge of the local arts community an asset
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage diverse tasks
- Strong knowledge of developing training programs for instructors and/or volunteers
- Knowledge of City processes
- Knowledge of program specific tools and equipment (Microsoft 365 - SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Bilingualism is an asset
Certifications
- Standard First Aid, AED training
