The successful candidate will work up to 32 hours per week supporting museum activities, including but not limited to assisting facility preparation for groups, supervising sites during facility rentals, and supporting customer service delivery during rentals and regular operations.

- Candidate must have a working knowledge of:
• Historical facts and information about the city of Ottawa
• Ottawa’s historical sites, museums, archives and other heritage institutions
• Current trends in museum educational programs
• Proper museological techniques for the handling and display of artifacts
• Interpretive techniques
• Ontario School curriculum
• Client service needs
• Project management
• General visitor centre procedures and techniques
• Working knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety legislation and of corporate /departmental policies and procedures related to health and safety
